Remote off-site CCTV monitoring services WILL provide you with peace of mind and with SOS monitoring your CCTV and surveillance systems you can feel reassured that you have a 24/7 security solution in place that’s managed by highly skilled and trained personnel.

Remotely monitored CCTV cameras will already deter intruders and should an attempt to breach the site, immediate action will always be taken to minimise both risk and damage. This is called a Pro-active approach to security.  With unmonitored CCTV, footage can only be reviewed retrospectively: after the damage has been done. This is regarded as a Passive Solution.  In most cases, the perpertators will go straight for the surveillance system, rendering passive (unmonitored) systems useless, whilst monitored cctv systems can perturb crime before it becomes a problem.

How does remote CCTV monitoring work?

Your Internet connection routes the CCTV images from cameras at your site over the web to our servers at the SOS Monitoring and Ops Centre.

The connection between your security system and the SOS Monitoring and Ops Centre can be live at all times or alternatively can be automatically switched on at the end of the working day or any specified time you as the client require.

Our Control Room software monitors for activity. As soon as an alarm is activated on your site, the incident is routed to the screen of one of our CCTV Security Operators.

Our professional operators then monitor activity manually. We can pan and zoom cameras, switch cameras for a better view, and rerun recent footage.

Bottom line is if we identify a risk to your site we react immediately:-

We call the emergency services.
We call you (if that’s what you would like)
And we communicate with intruders via loudspeaker.
Nine times out of ten our loudspeaker warning is enough to drive the intruders away.

Should that fail we can deploy other preventative measures such as releasing Pepper Spray, activating Sirens and Floodlights or even lifting barrier spikes, all remotely from our ops centre.

But because we’re describing live events, the emergency armed reaction services will react regardless. Not only can we summon armed response, we can also call SAPS, Medical, Fire etc. If it were a static alarm signal, without any visual verification, the incident may be deprioritised, resulting in damage to property and loss of assets.  As a general rule ALL response services react quicker when there is a Live Event in progress and where they as responders can receive updated information to the activties playing out in real time on the site.

Why choose SOS – Remote Monitoring Security Services?

Everything we do is fully transparent. You can log on to our system, using the SOS APP, at any time to see what’s going on at your premises and at our remote monitoring station and ops centre.

With the reports we issue you can start to see hidden patterns in security incidents. Are night-shift staff propping open fire doors? Is there a particular time of night favoured by intruders? And what is their preferred route into your site? Consider it ammunition to be able to predict future attacks and in so doing take preventative measures in order to put stop to it before it happens.

We go beyond the industry standards here at SOS – Remote Monitoring and continually work towards achieving and maintaining accreditation on all levels.

Get in touch with us today to find out how we could provide your site with the highest quality remote off-site CCTV monitoring.

AI and Deep Learning

Ai and Deep Learning Technology

Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning has found its way into surveillance CCTV cameras. Sometimes this technology sits on the edge
(on board the camera) and other times the requirements need constant connection to a server from where all the data crunching is performed using advanced algorithms…
